Blake
Today was one of my London days. Walked back to the station via Bunhill Fields which were used for many years as a burial ground. Daniel Defoe, John Bunyan and many others lie here. I was surprised that the monument to William Blake (and his wife Catherine Sophia), a seminal figure of the Romantic Age, is as plain as could be. The inscription reads 'near by lie the remains' because Blake was buried in an unmarked grave.
