Courgette flower

I love the way courgette flowers are so twisted and alien looking. This one is way ahead of the others as it sprung up unannounced in the greenhouse (must have dropped a seed).

You can eat the flowers and every year I mean to try them but never get around to it. Maybe this year.

I also made my first jam of the year today - gooseberry - and so fingers crossed it's set.
