Penifiler Panorama

Unfortunately I do not think Blipfoto accomodates panoramas so I am uncertain how this will appear. The view is of Penifiler where my family and I used to live when first we moved to the Isle of Skye.

Ours was an old crofthouse that was in dire need of renovation. At that time I was unemployed so it was my pleasure to renovate the house. It took me about 18 months to complete but then we moved in and lived there for 18 years.

The children grew up there and I believe we will all always have fond memories of Penifiler and the house at number five. Later we called it 'The Old Crofthouse' and we ran it as a Bed & Breakfast.

Since we sold it, it has had two owners, but alas today it is merely used as a holiday home. I wonder how long it will be before a family live there again and raise children.

I suppose I saved it from becoming just another ruin but I wish there was a family living there now. It was such a special place to raise ones family.
