Tip Toe Through The Tulips

We made a visit to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm to see all the tulips. A great photo taking opportunity.

Unfortunately, we didn't check to make sure the tulips were in full bloom. There were very few, like the yellow tulips above, that were out. There was also not a cloud in the sky, which was nice, but not good for taking photos with such harsh sunlight.

Still, we had a great time. We also plan to visit again, when it's more overcast and the tulips are all in bloom.

This trip also let me figure out some technical issues for the next visit. I was using my 200m lens to get some nice compressed backgrounds like this and this but, as you can see, I need to stop down a lot more so the blur is not so extreme for the windmill or Mount Hood backdrops.
