Madeira.

Finally we hit land today in Funchal, Madeira. A beautiful little place, and somewhere I actually forgot I'd been too. As soon as I got off the ship, I realised I'd been here before, and how could I forget. We were actually here for New Year 2005.

Anyway, we had a very pleasent day. Got the cable car up the mountain, to a sleepy little village, walked around the gardens, visited a church, and just took in the great view over the town and the Atlantic. Back down for some lunch and a wander around town, happily blipping away. Couple of pit stops for beer and then some dinner and back to the ship. It was my night off and I ended up spending it in bed. I was pretty tired and I was soon out for the count at 10pm.
