Sharing ...

Best day of weather so far. Pity we're going home tomorrow.

First, a walk from Bellanoch to Crinan, along the banks of the Canal. Then a drive to Tayvailloch.

Here, 'we' went for another swim. Two other dogs came along to share Jess & Molly's game with the toy-on-a-rope. The new friends were actually better at fetching the toy than ours were - they would stay out in deep water waiting for the toy to be thrown outwards - so they usually got to it first. But Molly did realise that there were certain advantages to staying in the shallows - she could run faster than te dogs further out, so she sometimes won the chase by using her speed in this way.

After the game Molly did her usual - she did not want to come back to the car. She wanted the fun to continue on the shore. But when Mrs jml turned her back and walked along the beach, Molly could not resist following her and was soon back on the lead.

On the way back to Melfort Pier, we stopped in Kilmartin for an ice cream. I can just hear the complaints from the back of the bus: "It's not fair. They got a tub each, but we had to share one!"

Packing tonight, then dinner at the Shower of Herring in the Melfort Village complex. Looking forward to it.
