Uh oh...lost in the woods

Today has been fairly boring for a puppy like me. The weather has been horrible. I was wondering whether to take my umbrella with us on my morning walk ;-)

This afternoon mum took me to the big woods again..YAY!

I did have a WHALE of a time. I was running way ahead of her and into the undergrowth. She kept hiding behind trees from me but I always found her. We met another puppy like me, called Rufus. He was MAD. We had real rough play fight in a clearing in the woods, it was great. I always won :-)

Mum and I were walking and walking then mum said, 'I think we've been here before Lily' mmmmm mum..... We are LOST! We were going round in circles and weren't sure of the way back. I kept running on miles ahead because I was sure I knew the way, but mum would call me back and we had to go her way!

We came across some teenage boys skiving off school and I LOVED them. They had food which smelt yummy. They told mum which way to go but I think they lied because we ended up on a teeny tiny little path which went on for aaagggges. Then after fumbling through the undergrowth and brambles we finally popped out at the back of someone's house, miles away from where we started. We snuck down a little path beside the house and walked the main road home. Pheeeeew said mum. I think she was getting worried. I just think she should have followed me in the first place and we would have been fine ;-)

Tomorrow I have to be on my best behaviour. Mum has some old work friends coming for tea & cakes. I can't wait and I will wear my bandana so I look really smart :-)

I hope Molly the gorgeous Collie likes her present. Maybe we will see tomorrow!
