Time Warp

Strathcathro.
I'm sure it's an actual place, but to many, on the road south from Aberdeen, it exists only as this truck stop greasy spoon cafe.
It reminds me of my father. We used to stop here often while we were either on the road to an away match, to visit relatives in Edinburgh or on the odd occassion, when he took me to work with him for the day.

It didnt happen often but spending the day with my dad at work was magical. It's a truly unique, quality time bonding session between the old man and his boy.
I have taken my son with me to work on the days that i know i have a lot of driving to do and i've told him about the days i spent with my father and i'm proud to say it's now become our special bonding session.

There is a song that describes this event perfectly. A quirky little song with a brilliantly animated video. I'd love it if you could spare a minute or two and allow me to share it with you The JCB Song

Also this made me teary when i was fortunate enough to be in the radio station with the group, The Lorelei when they played it live. It's beautiful and every Mother and Father out there has an obligation to get teary during the 3 mins it'll take to hear it
