....I'm back, I'm back...

After yesterday's fiasco with the dropped camera, I've managed to get back to blipping. The camera was still taking pictures but for some reason the memory card had wiped blank and the pc couldn't recognise the camera to down load images. A cheap card reader has solved the problem!

No, I didn't have my fortune told, we bought a mamory card reader. It's a bit of a faff having to take the card out of the camera, put it in the reader and stick it all in the USB port to download but ...hey!...it does the trick and it's cheaper than a new camera. Mind you, I'm thinking of a new one, something a bit flasher in the DSLR range....maybe for Christmas.

I phoned the insurance company about a claim for the camera, after getting the run around with them claiming firstly that my address didn't exist, then that there was no policy for that address, I eventually got through to someone who was prepared to listen to my tale of woe. ............You know what my problem is ....I'm way too honest....I told them that I dropped the camera out in the street.....Guess what?.....the camera isn't insured outside the house!!!!!!
I should have known really, a few years back I had a similar thing when my fishing gear got damaged...I was told it wasn't insured when I was using it for fishing! So I had to put it on the policy as a named item used away from the premises and pay an extra premium, seemingly I should have done the same for the camera! I mean obviously when I bought these two things my aim was to take pictures of myself fishing in my own living room......I mean who in their right mind wants to go outside fishing and taking photographs.

Any way to cheer myself up we went to visit Charlie, as jkj10 puts it "the cutest, tiniest rock chick" so here's another shot of her....feeding again, focussed intently on Aunty Rachel!

Das vidanya moy padruga.
