When we go down to the woods today...

And my sister and I sure got a big surprise when we went to the woods today... we we're both hunting for a blip shot on opposite sides of a small lake and when she came to find me, our dog decided to take a short cut - through the lake! Yes - he jumped in and swam to me! (We we're hoping he would stay dry as we had driven to the woods and didn't want to get the back of the car wet :/ )

The side of the lake I was on was very steep and slippery... I ended up having to pick the dog up out of the water onto the steep slope... He thought it was great fun running back and forth, unaware he could slip back into the lake at any point... so I had to carry him through the woods, sliding down some slopes at one point, until we got to a point where he could run safely again.

When we got home the dog ended up having a bath and a blow dry (He doesn't think much of a hair dryer!) and my rather muddy and wet clothes had a good wash too... hoping for a good drying day tomorrow now!
