New U Banquet

We had our New U Banquet at Steelhead Brewery again (did not get lost). It was a good time because I actually knew everyone. It was quite entertaining to see everyone in their natural bubbly element and it was also a bit sad because everyone knew that our reign was coming to an end and soon there would be a bunch of new people replacing us and taking what we gave them this year and making it theirs.

So somewhat bittersweet but there was more sweetness and I really like everybody, they are really cool.

Also got a stamp for the UCI baseball scavenger hunt. I got every one so far except one (DTD). The locations were the Alumni House, Steelhead Brewery, Gina's Pizza, and Wells Fargo.

When exchanging gifts, I gave my successor a present and she gave me one too! That was very unexpected. We both got each other similar gifts--a picture and a frame. I gave her a picture frame with a printed picture she took of an anteater baby because she had remarked how empty my cubicle was so I wanted to make sure hers was nice and decorated right away. She got me a group picture of my photographers (you can see one version here: my photographers) and she put it in a frame she made completely out of the school newspaper, which had clippings like "graduation" and stuff on it. WONDERFUL!!!!!! Thank you Anna! I know she will do a great job next year.
