Anne's Daily Encounters

Light on the beach

Rain was said to come in from the West after noon, but it rained heavily in the morning with dark clouds and a thunder or 2 as well.
I went walking with others thro' the dunes north of The Hague. Since a year of time I joined in on an internet site where walkers plan their walks with specifics (where, when, distance and how many can come along and enrol) and all who I've met on the walks agree that walking in company is so much nicer than walking all the kilometers alone - the common beat is ± 20 kms.

So I walked with unknown folks and we shared pleasant talks on this-es and thats. We got cold and wet cause of the rain that had come in so unprescribed early and half way we reached the beach and sheltered for warmth and a cuppa in a beachbooth. When moving onwards I noticed the lamps outdoors on the terrace were lit. Hmm the sky was dark indeed, but lights on? Little later strong winds blew the clouds and rain away and walking along the shoreline our clothes dried before we reached our cars in the carpark. Fortunately not a homeward bound trip in soaked pants and shirts.
