we love UTG!

despite the relentless rain, over 1000 people attended the big picnic today to support the campaign against destroying union terrace gardens in the heart of aberdeen. we don't need another shopping centre or car park or more concrete in our centre - we need to preserve and enhance what we've already got: beautiful victorian gardens.

I wish our councils weren't so impressed by wealthy businessmen who flash their cash around. I hope this campaign works because it's starting to feel like the alternative ending to local hero round here...
