Celebrating Aberdeen

Today I was taking part in the first Celebrate Aberdeen parade to highlight the work the third sector does in the city and it was fantastic!

The organising team were expecting more than 3000 people to take part. It was a great event as not only did it highlight just how many voluntary organisations are working in Aberdeen but also gave all the organisations a chance to meet each.

Our Scouts did us proud - they waved, smiled, cheered, collected pennies and didn't grumble once about the rain!

It was all happening in the 'deen yesterday as over 1000 people went to the Save Union Terrace Gardens big picnic.
