Birthday bouquet

Just one of the bouquets I got for my birthday yesterday. Now the lilies are opening up, the perfume hits you as you walk in the room.

I didn't do anything to this shot - no twiddling with Photoshop - as I liked the strong contrast between light and shade.

I contributed a photo to the book you see in the back ground, A Flora of Suffolk. It's a photo of a group of elm trees just outside the village. They're precious, as so many have been lost.
