Footprints in the sand

When there appeared to be only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you....
Well, first off the update from yesterday! Katie really did me proud yesterday, she was so very good for Granny and Grandad, all day. I had a very successful day at the wedding, we got everything done outside that had to be outside with 1 minute before the rain arrived in style. I was so pleased to see my little girl in the evening. She was extremely cuddly! She didnt like the disco at all, so we sat in a room next to it, with some of the other guests. She saw her little friends Lily and Matilda, ate lots of food and was rather gorgeous.
It's been great to spend today with my parents. Katie and I had some time just Mummy and Moo in the park, running round and round and round! We ll then went and spent the morning at the Sunday Market and car boot. It was beautifully sunny but she wanted her puddlesuit and wellies! Katie did rather well, she got some very pretty new clothes, a Doodles toy (from Tweenies), a new DVD and videos for at Grandads. Even Mummy got a couple of summer tops! She spent a long time watching the children on the inflatable slide and the merry-go-round, but didnt want to go on either. However, she did want to run across the fields to go play with a big tractor. I think I've got a farmer in the making, in her gorgeous little green wellies, her love of tractors and all things animal!
She had a good sleep at Grandads, then had a spot of lunch before we went out for a walk. It was spotting with rain a little, but Katie loves the rain! We parked the car at Holbeck Hill, then she walked all the way down the big hill to the beach, played on the sand, chased waves, crawled in seaweed. She had a lovely time running along the promenade, then walking along a mini wall that was where the outdoor swimming pool once was. She played on the star chart that is now there instead, before making me carry her up the very steep hill! Two very friendly dogs said hello to us on the way back up and came for a very excited hug with Katie.
She's eaten a good tea, had lots of playtime, and its been lovely. I am looking forward to our own beds tonight though!
