Ring Exchange

19 years ago, I was an exchange student in Thailand. I have kept in touch with my host family, especially my Thai sister who is my age. Two and a half years ago, we each had children 6 weeks apart. It has been fun to share our experiences of motherhood by email and Skype.

I have not seen them for 11 years and today we met them in California for a "family" reunion. Bob and his Thai cousin were immediately best friends. Little E was so excited to meet Bob, that she decided to give him a ring. There were no vows, but I wonder if they are now bound for life?
