What on earth is that?

MORE THAN AN INCH OF RAIN TODAY but for the wedding yesterday it stayed dry - beautiful bride who only kept her groom waiting 10 minutes! Funny speeches by close friends, great food and company and the hayloft turned out to be quiet and dry - for the rain started coming down at 2 a.m. and didn't stop until about 5 p.m today. This morning I helped tidy the marquee for the next lot of guests for lunch - despite the appalling weather they all came in macs and wellies and umbrellas fighting the wind - recognised masses of people from my childhood but could barely name one! But lots of relatives there too whom I hadn't seen for ages - very happy 2 days.
