It's the little things that count...
Today is the opening day of camp! Kids are coming in full of excitement and are wanting to go ahead and get started. I was thinking, what type of shot should I get today? I immediately thought to grab one of people full of energy and kids excited for camp. That is until I saw Pick today.
Camp is about providing kids with an educational and enriching time while helping them grow and discover things they have never had the opportunity to ever wonder about in the big city. These moments do not come easy however, we work long, tiring hours to make sure that these kids are filled with a great experience here at Sanborn Western Camps.
So, I made the decision to look at a different angle...
I am not going to give you those shots of extreme happiness and the excitement of camp, I want people to see the hard work that never gets noticed. This is Pick and he is in charge of checking in all of the kids for the entire day. He is sitting down on the porch of the building we call the "Speedwagon" and he has been pretty much alone for the entire day. Pick is what we call in the trenches. He isn't getting to go play games or do the stuff that everyone wants to do, he is putting check marks on a list...
I will continue to post about random acts that are behind the scenes and no one sees!
