Monty the Canary

This is Monty, a rescued Canary (Roller, I think from his beautiful trilling and singing). His first owner was an eventually old lady, then he lived with a class in school for a session, then he came home with me. He is just like a lemon with legs.

Finches and Parrots are not supposed to live together but he (?) has now lived with a Peach Faced Lovebird (definitely a he) for several years, mostly in harmony - in a big cage in a north facing sunroom in the summer - where they can see other birds outside - and in a warmer room in the winter. They often sit side-by-side like a pair of Lovebirds.

I see he needs his nails clipped...
