Stag beetle

This is the second female stag beetle I've seen this year, although I'm sure this one will fare better than the one I spied (and moved to a more safe location) on the stairwell at Clapham Junction.

It's been lovely and sunny today after all that much-needed rain yesterday. However, I was in the office so didn't see much of it. I went on a Barbie Huntat lunchtime in aid of Greenpeace's new campaign against Mattel's packaging, which uses rainforest trees. I thought it was quite a fun way to support a good cause. However, all the Barbies near my place of work had already been found. I'll keep my eyes peeled for chainsaw-wielding dolls, just in case.

The sun lingered on to the evening so Fred and I went for a stroll around Norwood Grove. We don't go there very often and we were surprised at how lovely, green and leafy it was. There's more to explore there, too.
