The Elk River, Routt County, CO

Yesterday's shot was of the Michigan River on the east side of the Park Range. The Elk drains the west side and helds to teh Pacific ocean. The Elk has one of the wettest water sheds in Colorado and last week it set an all time record for the amount of water coming down it. A warm week and plenty of snowpack to melt yet, promises more flooding all mountain rivers in Northern and Central Colorado.
