Lunch Break

Into the town centre with the camera this lunchtime...my first attempt at street photography. This is, I think, actually the first shot I took while out...secretly because he looked like the kind of bloke that wouldn't take too kindly to being photographed while he's relaxing with a cigarette and a beer on his lunch break.

One thing that strikes me about street photography though is the question of how to go about it so that they stand apart from being simple snapshots. I suppose that's down to me not really doing it before and the kind of photography I'm more accustomed to.

Still...one of the beauties of the X100 came into play here. Silent. Nobody notices.
