Homeward bound

It was a sunny morning with no wind - flat calm - not a sailor's favourite weather, but we weren't complaining. We left the mooring at 6.40am to catch the outgoing tide on our way out of the loch and south past Lismore, and then the incoming tide to whisk us up the Sound of Mull.

We saw some porpoises near the Lismore lighthouse and arrived at Tobermory in time for lunch on board a friend's yacht :-)

During the afternoon, we sailed to Glenborrodale, our summer mooring. It's a very special place to us, as it is so beautiful and we spent our honeymoon in the castle there. We feel very fortunate to be able to use the mooring, Sula's home for many years before we bought her - thanks Sharon and Chris.

Lismore lighthouse is in the photo.
