Hey hey, we're the Monkees!

This delightful little chap is a 5 month old male vervet monkey by the name of Philees (not sure of the spelling - the name is Afrikaans). He is being hand reared by a lady that we met here and lives in the house with the family, which includes children, cats, baby mongoose and a baboon! He is a tiny bundle of mischeif and carries his mongoose friends around under his arms like teddy bears as he jumps from guest to guest to say hello.

He also can turn any little thing into a toy - including my lens cover, which had to be retrieved rapidly before it was carried up the nearest tree!!
