Meadow Brown?

Beautiful weather at lunchtime and so I headed off for a longer walk. One of the footpaths passes through a grassy field and it was alive with grasshoppers, butterflies and bees on the clover. I could have spent all afternoon there chasing the blue and brown butterflies. I think this might be a meadow brown butterfly - I'm not very good on butterfly identification...

Good news for our parents' association - we found out tonight that we've sold enough tickets to make our barn dance a viable event. Should be good fun at the end of next week.
