Soaring

After work I stopped at the shop to buy veges for tea, and when I left there I took a drive around the '2 mile' to see if there was anything I needed to photograph. There were two hawks riding the thermals (or whatever it is that hawks do).

One of my goals is to capture a decent photo of one. If I'm travelling anywhere with Kiwilizzie I tend to travel with my camera on my knee and whenever one of us spots a fairly close hawk she will slam on the brakes for me to try and capture something. I have been decidedly unsuccessful so far, and today is not really any exception. But this is still the best photo I managed so it gets to be today's blip, even though I'm not ticking a decent capture of one off my list.
