Woman

I see lots of copies of this statue all over Cambodia. I suspect the original is at Angkor Wat.The one in the photograph is in the rather grand surroundings of Raffles hotel in Siem Reap.I have been told lots of times,usually by men ,that the statue is known as the Woman statue. This is because the statue has many hands and many heads and shows that even in Angkorian times women were able to multi task and know what was going on behind them even if they weren't looking!I don't know if this is a true story or just one told by slightly wary Cambodian men but I like it.
