Clouds and Tarts
During the morning in Lyme bay, on occasion the mist drapes itself from the fields to the sea and sometimes it simply sits entirely in the bay like cotton wool in a bowl. Today the mist is streaming out of Exmouth on the far side and it usually goes by mid morning or lunchtime.
I had 12 egg yolks to use up today, so I made Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese custard tarts) which are by far the most tempting of treats, along with Gateau Breton (a cake that is not a cake but not a biscuit either) equally divine. All eggs used up.
