Guinea-pig construction geniuses

I arrived home to a new cage layout. F's been at home all day with a hacking cough and nasty wheeze, but he says that Big Sid and the girls rearranged the cage furniture themselves without any help from him. Genius. It works well having the large cardboard tube (that only Moschops can fit through) under the ramp. Only Sybil uses the shelf the ramp leads up to, and she can jump onto it from the cage floor. The ramp is more importantly used to create the perfect nest conditions (darkness that people cannot see into).

Back to work for me - busy, busy, but nicely so. F's going to try, again, to get an appointment with the doctor for his chesty cough. Fingers crossed. It's a matter of ringing at 8.30am and seeing if you can beat the hundred or so other patients to get one of the few appointment slots. He lost the telephone lottery this morning (phone constantly engaged, unsurprisingly).
