Learning day by day

with my new toy. Generally struggling for a blip too as I think you can probably tell.

Have five mins and a cuppa to do this in today, so here goes. William, better but definately not right. Woke himself up lost night after an hour with a cough/vomit and then didn't go back to sleep until 10pm. Not conducive to getting anything done. He woke this morning, pale but more himself, shouting at Carys, so he went to Tina's after I dropped Carys at Nursery. He was however very clingy and by the time I settled him and got home I only had an hour before heading out to pick up Carys.

Big day for Carys, lunch at the big school. We had two boys from year six show us the ropes and Carys managed really well, choosing her food (at Nursery there is no choice), carrying her tray with cutlery, dinner plate, pudding and beaker to the table. Then she troughed her way throughit all as only she can, slowly and steadily, refusing point blank to make eye contact with the boys, but waving at the girls she knows as they came in for dinner.

The boys were a real credit to the school. So obviously proud of it and aware that they are so lucky to have the teachers they have who run loads of after school activities 'because they want to, they don't get paid for it you know'. Although she was slightly overawed, I think she will love it once she starts and will flourish. The one question she did ask was if they did running races, so I think my genes have been passed down to at least one of my off spring.

After lunch I dropped Carys at a friends house, intending to come home and pack but had to go and get Will instead as he had had a coughing fit and wasn't very happy. Fraud! Once I got there, he was as happy as larry. But he didn't give in to sleep all day, so after picking up Carys it was early tea and bath for them both and now they are fast asleep. Who knows how long for but Im offto do the ironing mountain otherwise it may end up being blipped tomorrow. It has never got this high before. If I manage to get through it I'll come back and comment later.
