ROAD TRIP DISASTER
I thought I would head out tonight and get some nice night shots. There are a couple of buildings I have my eye on, they're lit up nicely at night. Thought I could try again with the car trailing lights, that type of thing. So I did a bit of revision in the handbook, set the camera to ISO 1200, shutter speed 15secs, there would be no confusion in the dark. I headed over to the office's I wanted to blip, realised there were still people working there and parked in their car park. The people who worked there soon clicked that I wasn't one of them (rust bucket transit van amongst jazzy cars) and much to my embarrassment started peering through the office windows and pointing at me.
So I jumped back in the van and bolted round the back, to get out of view, but no sooner round the corner when I noticed the CCTV turning and pointing towards me. I could also see the security guards getting ready to come out of the front, so I floored the motor and went screeching out! What a washout!!
Being the consumate professional that I am, I had a plan B, I got parked in the car park just along the road, not quite as good but, sufficient.
Got myself sorted out, set up the tripod, set up the camera and took one test picture (this one) of a non descript factory unit. Then the camera went dead. Low battery....ideal.
Went home with my tail between my legs. Preparation, preparation, preparation. Should have stayed at home with one of these
