I do apologise, I cannot think of an appropriate English word that has the same emotional value. "Run down" is the closest term I can think of or worn out, but still doesn't feel the same way as the Dutch word...

Anyway this interiour is how I feel at this moment, worn out, empty and derelict. I guess that is how most folks would feel after an intense exam period and year. This afternoon I handed in my final portfolio for this (academic/school) year.

This interiour is taken opposite the Venusstraat (centre of Antwerp) where my faculty is based. There are a couple of tiny derelict cottages and someone had prised open the door. Didn't go and explore, only carried my casio compact camera (and I had to pick up Abbie and Pippa from art school).

Gosh, can't quite believe that I don't have to look into another handbook or write up another report tomorrow... (hurrah!)
