tidal Ripples
We look out over the mouth of the Tay estuary from our house, over the river's last constriction , between Tayport and Broughty Ferry, before it opens out in to the North Sea. The difference the weather and state of tide makes on how the water looks is astonishing.
Tonight it's proper flat calm and these ripples are, i think, due to the tide starting to flood back in to the estuary through the constriction, after low water slack.
