RIP
Today was the funeral on my wife's great Uncle Bob. Bob was 94 and up until Christmas lived by himself and had his daily routine of fetching the paper and rolls before settling down to watch some sport on the TV. Sometimes Bob could be spotted board the bus and travelling down to the local Tesco's or even further a field to the Gyle Shopping centre. Bob also liked a wee trip to 'the office' or the bookies to you and me for a wee flutter on the horses.
When Bob was younger he spent a small part of his life in the Army and served during the Second World War. He was in the reconnaissance corp and was deployed behind enemy lines on covert operations causing havoc in his Bren gun carrier. After the war Bob returned to his day job he had before the war working as a grocer for Blanches at Western Corner in the West of Edinburgh.
Bob will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Rest in Peace
