dad
this is my Dad doing what he does so well: sitting with some coffee and talking. in this image here, specifically about art, history (this is always the standard--he should have been a history professor), and the world's innumerable political/social/economic problems. he is one the smartest people that i know and, thankfully, he loves imparting such knowledge to me on all things, things both practical and bookish.
he is also, hands down, the most generous person i have ever met. to me, my sister, and often complete strangers (he gave a panhandler in Austin twenty dollars and said something like "he needed it more than me"). but his generosity is buttressed by one of his other wonderful traits: humility. this humbleness is so necessary in life and i am so lucky to have a father that can give but give with rationale and levelheadedness, if that makes any sense.
there is so much more to say but its almost impossible to articulate this man's positivity and strength, especially in this e-arena, as fruitful as it is for rambling praise. also, I am quite tired (four hours at the art museum is crazily exhausting...and we are going to another one tomorrow). good night!
oh, yes, finally an album thus far [sparse as well until tonight brings some time for uploading].
