Subtle Sign

Caught this sign while we were out and about today.

The non-urban roads on St Lucia are what could best be described as 'interesting'. Mainly one lane in each direction, except where part of the road has subsided and fallen down the side of the mountain leaving it single track. After Hurricane Thomas hit the island last year this was a reasonably common situation.

Where that happened, it was cordoned off with a handy piece of 2x1" wood and some rocks. The signage was limited to something stuck to the cordon itself. one of your flashing lights, contraflow, cones or light activated traffic lights for the Lucians. Just glad we weren't getting about in the dark.

At least they have a sense of humour about road safety.
