Sleeping Whales
This is our estuary, near low tide. It used to be a flat mud-scape that, in the daytime, had birds waddling about looking for a tasty morsel or two. But as I was driving home last night in the dark it looked like a pod of whales had become beached there. Except the lumps were mounds of silt, pushed up by Monday's action.
