Flying

Technical Side: The look of this photo was obtained by using 4 photographs taken within the same ten minutes. I used the sun burst as the canvas and then photoshopped the three images of my husband jumping off of the boathouse into the lake below and aligned them together. My intention for this final photograph is to show motion and at the same time, a little bit of magic. :)

Whether it's wake boarding, water skiing, tubing or jumping off of the boathouse diving board, the sensation is always the same:

It feels like you are flying.

We are at the lake. Our lake. To sum it up quickly, it is our happy place. Quiet. Peaceful and relaxing. Endless opportunities for that needed adrenaline rush. The one that throws the wind in your face and makes you catch your breath. The feel of speeding along the water at 40 mph or simply laying in the dock swing reading a favorite book. This place is filled with a thousand different ways to smile. Memories that seem like just yesterday. Special moments that will last a lifetime.

It really is exhilarating to feel like you are flying. Especially when you land in that cool crisp water that makes your whole soul smile. Surrounded by family and friends. It is easy to see why our lake is our happy place.
