Go Country

A very hectic and laborious journey from Edinburgh saw us eventually calm and peaceful on the rather choppy Loch Lomond in a canoe by around 4pm. Incompatible footwear on Jen's feet meant we couldn't spend much time exploring the islands (too much nature) but it was a pleasant hour. The inflatable hamster ball on the water experience afterwards shattered the calm to the delight of passers by and we returned to Edinburgh slightly tired but in much better spirits than when we left.

Managed to squeeze in the end of True Grit before it went back to Blockbuster, I have no idea what the original was like but I thoroughly enjoyed this incarnation, though I can't imagine John Wayne playing Jeff Bridges role.

Whilst we had been out a pibil had been slowly cooking in the oven and we sat down to a very hearty mexican meal before I totally conked out.
