Out With The Old In With The New

This may seem like a boring picture of the Gosport Ferry terminal / pontoon but I took this, this evening for a reason.

As of tomorrow the Pontoon will be closed and the Ferry service will run temporarily from Endeavor Quay.

Over the next 3 Days this pontoon will be removed and scrapped & a new pontoon which is currently en route from the Netherlands will be set in place of this one. This pontoon has served the people of Gosport for years and approximately 3.5 million passengers cross this short expanse of water a year. Yes it is shorter by water.

Yes over the next few days my blip will be the progress made over the weekend ready for the opening of the new terminal on Monday.
