Stag about to leg it...

As I entered the driveway I saw two stags up past the end of the driveway. As I swung around to pull into the garage I stopped and reached for my camera bag... This wasnt in their plans for the day so the ran away into the bushes.

I knew they would still be there so I went for a wander up the path on the other side of the house. I saw them watching me from the trees. I just had time to get this single shot off before they bounded across the road and into the woods. I got a few very long range shots into the shady area they were in but they werent too usable, probably the kinds of shot I would have been pleased with before my blip days... standards and my expectations have improved since then :-)

This is the only shot I got before they bounded off... I quite like this one. It could do with having the head a bit less cluttered so you can actually see his furry antlers and losing the very out focus leaves that were a lot closer to me would tidy it up some too but as a single quick shot as I saw them before they ran off I was very pleased with the result.
