Snail's pace

Spotted this brave soul enjoying the sunshine early today. He must have known that the gardener wasn't due to surface for another couple of hours. She brutally crushes snails underfoot whereas I just don't have the heart to do so.

Not sure whether he made it through the rest of the day but hope he enjoyed his early morning stroll across the lawn.
