The local reserve

The local reserve has a 3km walking track around a large expanse of wetlands, which means that it's a great place to spot these cheeky chappys - Pukekos. They are stunning in close up - will try and get a photo at some point, as they are blue with long red legs and a red beak. They are an NZ swamp hen.
