Jean

This is the weirdest house I know, in a good way. It was built by Jean Linard, when I say built that is a bit of an understatement. The bricks were made by him, from the clay that he dug out of the ground behind the house, fired in a kiln that he made out of wood from the surrounding forest. It took him 25 years.

Jean died in January 2010, he was a great artist and friend. I spent a delicious morning alone in the magical place. I couldn't help but hear his voice as I walked around.

This isn't the first time I've blipped his work.
