For Whom The Bell Tolls

My blip for today was going to be the Frosted Bathroom Window - but I took a slight detour on the way home from the Lakes.

Sometimes I have to take a run up to Tundergarth Church and try and get a shot that conveys some of the horror that surrounds this url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/8642484@N06/5842983051/in/photostream]place.

The other time I sat inside the church was on the morning of 22nd December 1988 ........... the morning after 254 people were killed when the jumbo jet was downed on Lockerbie following a terrorist bomb.

Tundergarth Church is just across the road from where the cockpit of the plane came down and is the point I started the God awful task of searching for remains scattered over the hills.

I think the expression on this portion of stained glass window probably comes closest to how I feel whenever I visit this place.

This glass is much more uplifting in my mind.
