cedar waxwing

Was trying to get a picture of the bluebird when this little head popped out of the trees. I love Cedar Waxwings. When I lived in Mexico (a long time ago) I saw a pair for sale in the market. I bought them and their cage and when I got home let them loose in the lemon orchard. (They were locally caught, so it was fine with them.)

It's a riot of birdsong here in Vermont this afternoon. And tonight the coyotes will howl...
