Dynamic Risk Assessment
Its a hard one isn't it - if he falls out the tree I'm bad if I don't let him manage risk himself I'm bad.
One of my earliest memories is gutting the inside of my cheek falling out of a tree into a gooseberry bush open-mouth-first and one of my most vivid is falling off a welsh cliff and seeming to be in free-fall for an age before my climbing rope finally caught me.
The boy shall remain in the tree (not too high though).
