Stripey hill
I love these, they are absolutely brilliant. These terraces are thought to be medieval
and are dug in to the green and fertile land to the east of Arthur's Seat (and it
really is green and not actually grey-it was dingin' doon with rain this morning). It is
a cunning way to farm land that is good but otherwise too steep to use and must
have taken a lot of work to make. I bet the makers would be pleased to see they
are still intact so many hundreds of years later, even if they are not used for farming!
