Sprout

I pulled two sunflower sprouts from my window box today. Having the bird feeders so close the seeds landed there from being scattered by the birds. Love the one long root on this one and the seed shell attached to the leaves. My 17 year old son was like "what's that?" pointing at the shell! This kid is smarter than most adults but then something like that comes out of his mouth. He can name all the US states in order of how they are placed on a map but he had to google "what are latitude and longitude lines" (spoken into his search on his iPhone of course!! LOL)
